Thanks to Sportsbook.com, it is now possible to place online wagers on any and all of California’s four bowl games this year. Sportsbook.com, the largest sportsbook and casino in the world, is the first online sportsbook to offer odds on the Rose Bowl, the Emerald Bowl, the Holiday Bowl, and the Poinsettia Bowl. For those interested, Sportsbook.com is offering odds on the teams playing in the games as well. Peter Childs, the chief odds maker, is available to handicap the field and break down the betting trends for each game. USC and Texas will be battling it out for the NCAA Championship in the Rose Bowl, traditionally the biggest of the bowl games. According to Sportsbook.com, USC’s the Trojans are favored to win and are listed as a 7.5 point favorite. To cover the spread, however, 65 percent of all bets placed have been placed on the Texas Longhorns. In the Sun Bowl, where the UCLA Bruins are scheduled to play against the Northwestern Wildcats, the Bruins are coming in with a 3.5 point favorite over the Wildcats. Fresno State is another California team coming in as the favorite to win. Fresno is facing Brigham Young University in the Las Vegas Bowl with a 6.5 point favorite over their opponents. San Diego, home to both the Poinsettia Bowl and the Holiday Bowl, promises some exciting football action too. In the Poinsettia Bowl, Navy is a 2.0 favorite against Colorado State University and, in the Holiday Bowl, Oregon is favored to win Oklahoma by a field goal. Oregon was probably the last team out of the picture when it came time to decide the two at-large berths for the BCS Series. For that series, the two spots went to Ohio State and Notre Dame. Last, but not least, Georgia Tech and Utah will be playing in San Francisco for the Emerald Bowl. In this game, Utah’s team is the 9.5 point underdog.
