After an investigation into the regulation of remote gaming, British magazine, “Business Britain”, presented an award to the Lotteries and Gaming Authority of Malta in recognition of the Authority’s “Excellent Services to Online Gaming". The Lotteries and Gaming Authority’s Legal and Enforcement Director, Dr Anthony Axisa, received the award in London at the Malta High Commission. “We are delighted to be recognized for our ‘Excellent Services to the Online Gaming Industry’ by Business Britain Magazine. This award attests to the validity of Lotteries and Gaming Authority’s strategy and acknowledges the success of the Authority”, said the director. In a comment about winning the award, Mr Mario Galea, the Chief Executive Officer of the Lotteries and Gaming Authority, highlighted the importance of such an achievement especially when considering the market in which the Authority operates. Mr. Galea also noted that it was especially gratifying to know that the award came from a country where gambling regulations are strictly enforced and adhered to. Posted on: December 12, 2005
