“Virtual Horse Racing”, a new product released by Advantage Sports Betting and targeting sports bettors that enjoy virtual horse racing on PCs and laptops, gives bettors the impressive ability to handicap the races. The lifelike racing simulator bases its virtual horse races on an advanced software engine that determines the race outcome by factoring in a set of characteristics for each horse rather, than simply relying on a random number generator. Advantage Sports Betting’s “Virtual Horse Racing” also provides a virtual racing form that emulates the real-world racing form. The form can then be used by bettors to research performance specifics about the horses, after which bettors can then handicap the virtual races as they would the real horse races. Special features included in the game are real time rendering (where the results are not generated until racing has begun), photorealistic quality (where the quality of the visual environment is superior to that of video games) and the ability to handicap the races (because of the different factors the software uses to determine outcomes). The Advantage Sports Betting.com website now offers “Virtual Horse Racing”, with races taking place every ten minutes. Company spokesman Sebastien Veilleux said, "the Virtual Horse Racing product adds a new and exciting avenue for horse racing bettors. By being more than a simple random number generator game, it gets one step closer to the real thing." Posted on: September 7, 2006
