According to a recently released report by “BetRescue”, an online odds comparison site, a significant number of office workers in Britain visit online gambling sites during their work hours. The report states that nearly three million adults use their company’s computers for online gambling during the week, adding up to about two billion GBP being wagered during working hours. On average, this works out to about 23 GBP gambled each week by office workers on football, horses, lottery sites, casino betting, poker and other gaming sites. By the end of the year, an office worker will have gambled, on average, approximately GBP 1200 during business hours. While players may think they are getting ahead by betting during work hours, studies actually show that less than a quarter of the cash that gets wagered is won back. Posted on: September 1, 2006
