TellPoker.com, which attracts new customers through its innovative approach of making its players shareholders in the company, joined the Micrograming Poker Network group of operators this week. The TellPoker approach to attracting customers resulted in the company giving away 40 percent of its revenue, and 20 percent of the company shares during its first one and a half years in business. “We think it’s fair that those players generating growth and value for TellPoker, should be shareholders in the company,” said TellPoker’s co-founder, Anders Ericsson. ”In addition to giving shares to their players, TellPoker offers a very powerful affiliate program for those referring friends to the site”. Another TellPoker founder, Mathias Ringblom, says “We are very happy to be a part of the Microgaming network, offering thousands of players a huge variety of poker games and many satellites to the biggest tournaments around the world.” Another attractive feature offered by TellPoker, is the opportunity to join two well-known and respected poker professionals, Jonas Norrman and Andreas Hurtig as part of the TellPoker Pro Team. Norman and Hurtig will act as team leaders and coaches as well as play in tournaments around the world sponsored by TellPoker. Hurtig will start off by playing in the World Series of Poker main event. He will be playing in his tailor made TellPoker suit. Players interested in joining the Pro Team can submit an online application, which TellPoker will review for possible acceptance. Those selected will have an opportunity to show off their poker talent and expertise at the European Poker Tournament to be held in Barcelona in September. Players who refer a friend to TellPoker and then go on to win money in any of the pro team events will also earn five percent of the player’s winnings. Already several poker clubs have contacted TellPoker expressing an interest in cooperation. Players can pretty much always be assured an active table and plenty of hot action by Microgaming’s poker network because of their abundance of card rooms (over 40) and their aggressive poker tournament schedule. Micrograming, a founding member of eCOGRA, is also at the forefront of an initiative focused on establishing the highest standards in all areas of the gaming industry including fair gaming, player protection and responsible operator conduct. TellPoker makes its base on Malta and Curacao, The Netherlands Antilles. The gaming license is issued to TellPoker N.V in Curacao, which is completely owned by TellPoker Ltd Malta.
