As the former World Poker Tour's Grand Prix de Paris and Betfair's Masters of Europe begin to be launched in Paris and London successively, poker contest fans and participants have a hard weekend in front of them. Following the 6th May, a tough contest has been taking place and the final table is now determined for the ten thousand euro ticket in the Paris Grand Prix, where this weekend a remaining nine players will place their wagers and their bluffs in the fight for the 422, 560 euro winning prize. The major event in France this year, has been spoilt by the French officials' intervention as well as an unsure atmosphere of legality that forced WPT to cancel the blockbuster from its timetable, and it will not be shown on television. In spite of the interventions, the show has still caught the attention of enormous activity and audience interest, and at the Aviation Club de France it has been zealously competed for. Ram Vaswani with 413, 000 chips lags behind Jeffrey Lisandro with 490 chips and well behind the leading Will Ma with his lead of 610, 000 chips. And lowest of all is the 103, 000 chip Jeff Wallace. A great collection of best poker players are assembling in the United Kingdom, who are also victors of the World Series of Poker, the Asian Poker Tour, the Aussie Millions, the World Poker Tour and the European Poker Tour, and they will be fighting this weekend in a special, thirty six participant contest to a live televised audience. A three hundred thousand dollar peak prize will be fought by the big players at the Betfair.com Masters of Europe which assures top celebrity activity. Later on in the year, British enthusiasts will be able to watch the replay on TV. Posted on: May 12, 2007
