According to New Media Age reportage, the giant Google search engine has rejected reviewing its prohibition on paid search advertisements associated with gambling in the wake of novel advertisements that circumvent the rigid legality set by the company. This report follows in the footsteps of an astute but lawful eluding by Sky of the British legality system, which introduced this current week a search project that guides participants via running footage in the Sky Poker television station to the Sky Poker-branded feature. Links displaying actual gamblers playing for actual cash are displayed, although the advertising does not avoid the Google rules, for instance not to link to a site where a participant plays with actual cash. It seems that Yahoo is playing according to the identical rigid method although it entered the sphere of poker in the United Kingdom. It looks like Search Marketing has informed advertisers that it refuses to receive any more advertisements that comprise playing invitations, references to money such as the GNP one thousand jackpot, or other kinds of provisions or inducements to participate in gambling, such as benefits or bonuses. The advice given to advertisers was that the current ads are now being inspected for agreement and it is anticipated that by the middle of June this procedure will be terminated. On the assumption that the ad does not match then the advertiser will be informed through electronic mail and will be rejected until the required modifications are introduced. Posted on: May 14, 2007
