The new designation of chief games officer has been awarded by Party Gaming to John O'Malia, ex-Gamebooker's CEO. O'Malia, an ex-City trader, and Gamebookers' former chief based in Antigua, was a sports betting group managed by Bulgarians, before being purchased for one hundred and two million euros in 2006 by Party Gaming. From 2001, O'Malia has been managing sports betting companies. In 2005, when he was Trident Gaming pic's CEO he arranged the acquisition of BetBug and Gamebookers.com after having led in developing the BetBug.com with 1xInc. Trident changed completely and developed the Gamebookers business with O'Malia as the guiding mentor, where he used tough marketing strategy on and off the Internet, by means of a nexus of underhand market tactics and proven campaigns of traffic and brand building. In August 2006, Gamebookers inaugurated its shirt-sponsorship agreement with Nantes FC, following a row of less grand sports sponsorship programs, around the same time when PartyGaming had procured Gamebookers.
