In a non-binding agreement between Harrah’s Entertainment and Bluff Magazine, World Series of Poker tournament fans will be treated to a new form of coverage of the event this year, as Bluff Magazine will be producing live radio broadcasts of the tournament. The agreement between Harrah’s Entertainment and Bluff, however, is still subject to definitive documentation. Bluff Poker Radio’s live World Series of Poker broadcasts will span a minimum of 10 hours a day for 43 days beginning June 29 and continuing through the final table of the $10 000 buy-in No-Limit Hold ’Em World Championship, often referred to as the Main Event. The broadcasts can be heard exclusively on Sirius Satellite Radio Channel 125. This is another first for poker,” said the Commissioner of the World Series of Poker, Jeffrey Pollack: “Now fans can experience all of the color, thrills and action of our tournament on Sirius Satellite Radio and with expert perspective and behind-the-scenes access from Bluff Poker Radio.” Co-president of Bluff Media, Eddy Kleid,, commented: “We are extremely excited to be working with Harrah’s Entertainment and Sirius Satellite Radio to produce complete radio coverage of the WSOP”. Kleid further added: ““The World Series of Poker is the premier gaming event and offers the largest purse in all of sports. Our ground-breaking coverage will bring the excitement of the WSOP to listeners live as it happens.” On Bluff Poker’s broadcast team you will find such veterans as Monday Night Football radio play-by-play announcer, Howard David, current Bluff Poker Radio host and Fox World Analyst Nick Geber, and respected poker journalist John Vorhaus. In addition, Phil Gordon, former host of Celebrity Poker Showdown, will also be providing commentary for the Main Event final table. Posted on: June 21, 2006
