This year the philanthropic facet of the government state's gambling monopoly in Greece, OPAP, was manifested when it contributed a two point five million euro donation to sufferers of this summer's wild conflagrations which spread through a number of rural regions. The firm's recent third quarter findings reveal the contribution where it also showed a twelve percent drop of clean profit to one hundred and twelve point one million euros, resulting from this one only contribution to the latest wild conflagration's victims. Net profits climbed this quarter to one hundred and thirty point eight million euros, which is a two point eight percent rise, and this does not include the contribution. Posted on: December 17, 2007
