Exciting news for poker players on the Scandinavian Internet poker site Best Poker.com as the company decides to join the ever-expanding Ongame network. As of this week, Best Poker.com players will be joining millions of existing poker players on other websites pooled under the European Ongame system. Best Poker made the decision to depart from its former B2B - 24H network, which was responsible for powering the site, and move over to Ongame. This will provide additional advantages to players visiting the Best Poker.com site. In an interview this week, Henrik Persson, chief executive of Best Poker, explained Best Poker’s switch to Ongame, saying that: “We chose Ongame due to its technologically superior software, large number of players and the fact that they also offer a Java version which enables our customers to play directly from the website without having to download any software. In addition, Ongame Network allows us to customize our interface to a great extent”. Ongame is a subsidiary of the Austrian public company Bwin. It is also a member of eCOGRA, an online gambling organization dedicated to player protection and upholding standards of fair play body. eCOGRA monitors all software and operational activity on its member sites by means of a highly advanced technological network. It was created in order to ensure fair play and efficiency in the various gambling games played over the Internet. Posted on: December 30, 2006
