Action Poker Network, recently acquired by Playshare Holdings, a Norwegian public company, has made a big comeback in the U.S. this week with the launch of the “$30,0000 Poker Experience” tournament. The event, described as “a tournament series prototypical of the American Dream, with a chance to take 11 cents and turn it into $3.2 million at the World Poker Tour World Championship in Las Vegas," offers online qualifiers at Action Poker.com, Canada.com, and Tiger Gaming.com. The event is also said to promise three things to the winner: "American Poker, American Luxury and American Muscle," A main attraction of the tournament is the offer of a $25,000 seat at the World Poker Tour (WPT) World Championship. The Championship is scheduled for April 21-27 of 2007 and will likely draw some 500 people. In addition to the offer of the WPT World Championship seat, the lucky winner will also be granted accommodations at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino as well as use of the amazing Dodge Viper sports car for cruising the Strip during the visit. The prize pool at the 2007 Championship is expected to reach $13 million with 3.2 million going to the winner. Action Poker plans to sponsor player from the Action event and position him or her in the starter field for the WPT World Championship big pot.
