In the wake of publishing the firm's second quarter results, and talking at a conference hall with the media columnists, Mitch Garber, the CEO of Party Gaming.com claimed that the Internet gambling industry is ready for merging after the block of the former lawful action is removed by the American legal arm. He further claimed that PartyGaming pic is nicely situated at this activity's core. Journalists were told by Garber to recall that PartyGaming, together with its competitor 888 Holdings pic, began discussions in June with the Justice Department demanding a clear picture in regard to actions which the legal departments have taken against other online gaming firms who stood a year ago before United States actions prior to the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement which was enacted. Garber clarified that the fact that firms such as theirs and 888 have willingly negotiated with the Justice Department is a major stage towards setting legal matters at the back of all the firms, showing that the discussions are continuing to be held and their result is very likely to be successful. He states that they are progressing onwards toward what is hoped to be thought of as an adequate solution. After that is over, he believes that a great deal of merging activities will take place. Garber anticipates that Party Gaming is to be associated with such deals particularly as it is the largest world Internet poker operator. He states that they can definitely consolidate quite large companies for they are two to three billion dollar market cap company, and they can be targeted by a number in mid stream companies which are both big and global gambling. It is not irrational to suppose that at some stage the two possibilities will be forthcoming and they as they arrive they shall confront them. During the early part of the year, Ladbrokes PLC had to throw away the plans for acquiring 888 due to problems that would not enable to overcome for certain commitments or lawful terms which in the former American activities it had to face up to.
