Website Dedicated to ex-BetonSports Executive, David Carruthers

A website detailing the predicament of David Carruthers, an ex-BetonSports executive, has dedicated itself to publicizing the situation Carruthers has found himself in as well as the circumstances of the case against BetOnSports.

The website, found at FreeDavidCarruthers.com, features a large photo of Carruthers during better times where he is seen standing atop a London building and opinions for against his situation.

The information section of the site emphasizes that BetOnSports has no connection whatsoever with the site and the site is not motivated by BetOnSports as a corporate entity in any way.

The site is helping to focus public attention on anti-online gambling policy in the U.S. and its attempts to quash onlinegambling. As a result there is now greater awareness of the exemptions for horse racing and state lotteries allowed for under the policy, which was enacted in order to “protect” American families and morals. The site also discusses the potential erosion of further Internet freedoms and provides details of Carruthers’ arrest and how he was subsequently handled.

Editorial content on the site asks: "So, what is his crime? Is he a murderer, a dangerous terrorist, or even a white-collar criminal responsible for embezzling millions of dollars? "No, his ‘crime’ is to be a vocal advocate of online gambling regulation in the United States. This site is dedicated to exposing the hypocrisy of the current United States Administration in its attitude to gambling, and its attempts to persecute people operating businesses legally outside its own borders.
