Needless to say, that the casino will be the spot, for many players looking to do some memorial day celebrating, in their own special way.
In order to expand on gambling legislation in the area, table games have gotten the go ahead, as previously Delaware already made the news for being one of the few states where sports betting is allowed, and not they add casino table gaming to the already extensive gambling assortment.
Analysts speculate that the changes in legislation, will change the playing field of the entire gambling industry, and through these changes, it is very likely that Delaware will become one of the top gambling destinations in the country in the years to come, which spells more trouble, for the well known locations like Atlantic City and Las Vegas.
Harrington Raceway & casino will start of the change in legislation, serving as the state's experiment for running casino table games, which starts today. It is expected that during this week, any problems that may be encountered will be solved, and by the end of the week, the games are expected to go live, and with memorial weekend up ahead, it is expected to start off the news games with a blast.
While all this is good news for the US gambling industry as a whole, Delaware will be facing some heavy competition, from states like New Jersey and Pennsylvania, which have also recently changed their gambling legislation, in order to expand on them to allow casino table gaming. Needless to say that the existing leaders, like Atlantic City, will not be standing by, but certainly will have plans of their own, to combat the upcoming new competition, so it appears there are some rough times ahead in the battle for the favor of the gamblers, and it has only just begun.
The above is only the beginning, as other states are drawing their own plans to expand on their existing gambling laws, and are expected to also start expanding the legislation, in order to get their piece of the pie. As debates are still ongoing, about just how they want to proceed, we may soon be seeing states like Massachusetts join in, where debates are still going on, whether or not to allow slot machines at the racetracks.
With many states struggling with budgetary gaps, and recovery of the last economical recession, almost every state is looking for ways to draw in more capital, and gambling is one of the most attractive ways to achieve this goal, especially in the short term, so for the gambling industry in the United States, it truly is a brave new world, of which we are witnessing the official start on Memorial day in Delaware, but the best is surely still too come.
