In what is believed to be the biggest bingo-win ever from Gala Bingo Online, Jo Collins, a British mother of three, received a check for over GBP 162,000. Collins, a Special Needs school driver, had only been playing for five days when she won the GBP 162.701.97. At 52 years old, she has been married for 35 years, has three children and ten grandchildren. She is also a Meals on Wheels volunteer.

As for what to do with the money, Collins said: "I’m going to pay off the mortgage, and the car, and go out to Australia to see the long-lost friends who introduced me to my husband. I have three grown up children and ten grandchildren and we are going to have a great party”. In describing what happened when she realized she had won the money, Collins said: "I was at my daughter Melanie’s house when I realized I’d won a big prize. We just went mad and danced around. When I told my husband Mervyn he thought I’d picked up GBP1 600. You should have heard him when I explained that I had won over GBP160,000!”

She also said that she would continue as a Special Needs school driver: “I’m going to carry on with my driving job. The Special Needs kids rely on people like me to get them to school”.

Prior to Jo Collins’ win, the highest recorded win had been for the amount of GBP 130,000.
