Reports coming out of the British business media this week have been talking about the appointment of Aharon Shaked to the board of directors of 888 Online-Casino Gambling Group. Shaked is a former dentist and one of the major multi-millionaire shareholders in the group. Shaked is also one of the 1997 founders of 888 Plc along with his brother Avi Shaked and members of the Ben-Yitzhak family. Both Aharon and Avi Shaked retain shares worth GBP 311 million despite cashing in GBP 103 million last year when 888 floated on the London Stock Exchange.
According to the media reports, 888 Holdings is believed to be the world’s third largest Internet gaming group. The company is owner of online poker room, Pacific Poker as well as two huge online casinos – Casino On Net and Reef Club Online Casino.
Online gamers in the United States generate approximately 55 percent of 888’s revenue.
