Apparently, the German land gambling sector is ready to tackle international online gambling. In a new venture, the Frankfurt-based Casino Wiesbaden, will soon be offering British online gamblers the opportunity to experience Internet roulette from Germany while playing live from the comfort of their own homes. Two webcams will allow registered players to place wagers on the roulette table via their computer as well as keep track of the results and watch the croupier. According to Casino Wiesbaden, it is presently the only state-licensed and permanently state-controlled casino that is offering roulette via webcam. The game is played on two tables using authentic wheels and operates every day between 11:00 am and 3:00 am local time. "Everything about our online roulette is real! The only difference is that the player is sitting at home at his or her PC instead of being here at the Casino's gaming table", said Thomas Freiherr von Stenglin, the CEO of Casino Wiesbaden. "We're very excited to be able to welcome gambling enthusiasts from the United Kingdom via the Internet." Posted on: February 26, 2007
