In an agreement between Poker Night Live Canada and Canadian gaming channel, CGTV, viewers will now be able to watch a virtual poker table live. The poker activities will be available to poker enthusiasts in Canada on Rogers Digital Cable, channel 228 on Thursday and Saturday. During the broadcasts, viewers will watch participating players compete on the River Belle branded playing felt.
Poker Night Live Canada hopes to follow the successful UK version and plans to have a running commentary provided by two avid poker players with tournament experience. Viewers will be able to watch how online poker is played while, at the same time, hone their own online poker skills.
The television poker tables are accessible through River Belle Online Poker software, which can be downloaded at www.riverbelle.com. River Belle recently launched a new online poker room featuring 5-Card Stud, 7-Card Stud, Omaha Hi/Low, and Texas Hold’em. Each game has a wide range of table limits. Many players like the River Bell Online Poker’s option that lets them create their own private tables and even replicate weekly poker nights with friends and family at any time. Players also have the option of pre-selecting their seats, locating a specific player, or searching for their favorite table. For the really advanced players, it is possible to play ten games at once while simultaneously watching each game via the "Mini View" feature. River Belle even has a poker school where those interested can learn the rules and skills of the game.
