Poker fans have, no doubt, already penciled in March 4th through March 6th as special dates in their calendars, as those are the dates scheduled for the National Heads Up Poker Championship. The tournament, to be held at the newly remodeled Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, will see last year’s tournament champion, Phil Hellmuth, return to defend his title which he won last year playing against another former World Champion, Chris "Jesus" Ferguson. Last year’s tournament was held at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas and broadcast on NBC in May. It brought 64 of the world’s greatest poker players together to see who would be called the next ‘Heads Up’ champion of the world. Last year’s Heads Up tournament was one of the most popular poker events of the year. Posted on: February 26, 2006
