32Red posted a 67% rise in revenues for the year 2005, totaling almost £10 million. There is clearly no downward trend in the popularity of online gambling. The biggest earning sector of the company was casino games, which include roulette and blackjack and which netted £8.9 million, up 57% on 2004. But it was the online poker which saw the major increase in interest over the year with revenues spiraling 339% to £830,000 alone from that game. The number of active poker players rose by a staggering 277% to just fewer than 7,000. Even though it is based in Gibraltar, 83% of 32Red players are logging in from somewhere in the UK. 32Red listed on the stock market in September and says it is doing its utmost to give its games a very British feel while emphasizing the glamour aspect. One of the gimmicks used is the voice of well known actress Patsy Kensit who acts as the casino dealer. Posted on: January 23, 2006
