Who is going to win this battle then? Those lib dems are certainly causing a bit of a storm.

I think Brown will scrape through, at least I hope so as those tories and lib dems are proposing too many cuts which affect ordinary people. If labour had a younger and more energetic leader I am sure they would sail through this election, after all Brown was not chosen by us to lead this country and is not what I would call a peoples person, which could be labours downfall. :(

I doubt that very much, the Conservatives are odds on favourites to be the countries new government leaders according to most of the bookmakers.

Gordon Brown is stepping down, I think that was inevitable if the labour party were to have any chance of keeping some sort of control and forming a coalition with the lib dems. It will be interesting to see how Cameron reacts to this news, I am sure Clegg will be extremely happy now anyway as I am. :D

I guess we will all just have to wait and see.

Cameron the new prime minister, Clegg deputy prime minister

Who would have imagined that :D would have been worth a bet.

I still cannot believe it  All of those people who voted for lib dems with the hope of keeping the conservatives out are not going to be happy bunnies.

Its not looking too good so far :( they have already announced a reduction in child trust funds and child tax credits. Although they have said they will work to implement the lib dems proposed policy of taking low income earners out of the tax system. If it ever happens that will please a lot of people.

Cameron the new prime minister, Clegg deputy prime minister

I for one was not banking on that happening. I thought when Gordon Brown resigned that would entice Clegg enough to work with Labour in a coalition government.

They didn't have a lot of choice, it was broadcast in a live interview with the new chancellor. :D
