I just read a news story about some poor guy from the US that has been imprisoned for refusing to testify in some US federal investigation into an internet gambling operation. Apparently he is the tenth person to be jailed in this investigation and they are all just gamblers, not the actual people running the operation. How mad is that?

Zehhyr, you say UK, but I do wonder...
I'm not picking on Creationists, although believing everything was created in 7 days (6 not including God's day off) and Eve was made from Adams ribs is unreal. My point was the amount of Americans that think this is true. I could have said 62% believe in the Devil.
I could have made it non-religious, 37% of Americans Believe Jack Bauer, from the 24 TV show, is REAL. I could have gone global, 51% of Americans feel that the planet's atmosphere isn't warming, or 18% think the Sun revolves around the Earth. And as for conspiracies, the list is endless... A third of Americans suspect the government for 9-11
Do you see what I mean now? I would you like me to spell it out for you?

I'd agree with that, especially with the amount of immigrants we keep getting in the UK ;)

Well I dont like to stir things up , but according to the British Council as reported on the BBC .......
More than half of British adults think that intelligent design and creationism should be taught alongside evolution in schoolscience lessons – a proportion higher than in the US.
