The waiting room in an ultra-sound clinic usually resembles the waiting room at a central bus station with people anxiously pacing up and down, loudspeaker announcements, doors opening and closing and lines at the cloakrooms. So when I walked in here this morning and saw no people waiting, I was shocked. Until I saw them all bunched in the corner around the laptop, that is. Craps has an enormous variety of betting options and someone who has never played finds it very confusing when he starts. Craps players are very noisy and shout, yell and scream during the play, calling out strange words and commands such as "Double Odds, Box Cars, Horn, High-Lo, All Across, Press It, Hard Ways", and other strange terms meaningful only to the other players. To me, craps seems intimidating with lots of wild action going on, but the Craps table offers plenty of fun and excitement and should one have a winning streak, can be most profitable. Here in the online casino waiting room, the yelling is at frenzy level with about twenty people all yelling instructions at the shooter at the same time. Despite the game going on in the online casino, the clinic is still in business and above the noise of the betting, the address system calls names of people to go and have their tests and to come and pick up their results. There is a lot of elbowing as people try and get closer to the laptop or try to get out of the crowd. Someone gives a shriek of excitement as the shooter rolls a pair of sixes which carry odds of 1 in 36. I hear groans of disappointment at the same time. I play for a while but craps is not my best online casino game and I don’t really enjoy the wild action. I hear my name called and I go for my ultra-sound test. There are two people in the tiny room, the doctor who does the test and a secretary who enters the results as the doctor calls them. Both of them must have had bets riding on the craps game outside by the way they reacted to the calls coming through the thin partition walls. Posted on: December 8, 2008
