Today is Thanksgiving for United States citizens around the globe. Normally I would refer to us as Americans, but my Canadian counterparts tend to not like this much, so I'm using the politically correct rhetoric to refer to my countrymen (and women). Happy Thanksgiving! It is my favorite of all holidays, as it is not religious based, you don't have to find everyone the perfect present, and the only requirement for the day is cooking and eating, and if you are in the US watching football would be added to that list. It's a fantastic family day. Plus there's turkey, and as far as I am concerned a well done crunchy turkey skin is like manna from the gods, and one can't forget pumpkin pie or apple pie. We are having Thanksgiving a day late here (when you're not actually in the country it's the food that counts, not the exact day it's on) and I will be cooking up a storm tomorrow. Today, however, is a normal work day. In light of the importance of the day to those of us who care about it I'm going to write list of what I am thankful for when it comes to internet casinos. 1. Understandable terms and conditions. Some internet gaming casinos seem to think that their players are all lawyers, or that their players all have lawyers. Their terms and conditions are so long and so complicated it covers their ass in ways people hadn't even thought of trying to take advantage of yet. Terms like this show paranoia to an extreme in the part of the internet casino, and while this is actually fine, I personally prefer to read terms and conditions (which include the wagering requirements) that are clearly written in simple speak for the every-person with an average education. Terms and conditions written in a way that you don't need a headache tablet by the time you finish reading them. So, for all of the internet gaming casinos, poker rooms, and sportsbooks who have simple clear and concise terms and conditions – thank you. 2. Non-sticky bonuses. What is the point of giving a bonus with all of the hopes of cashing out extra winnings attached to it, if you're not really giving a bonus at all? Because really, at the end of the day a sticky bonus isn't a real bonus at all, it's not even like a loan. It's more like manipulation of the idea of a bonus and the reality is, your chances of cashing out with winnings are better with no bonus at all than with a sticky bonus where you still have to meet wagering requirements! Actually, what this should read is non-sticky bonuses with realistic wagering requirements. Wagering requirements for 40X the deposit plus bonus and only allow slots for the bonus are basically a waste of time. Wagering requirements of 20X which include games like blackjack and video poker, however, actually give the players a chance to take their own money out of the casino, and if they play well even the chance to take some winnings with them as well. This is what a bonus is for, to give the player a chance to win and put the odds (if only for once) in their favor. While I don't recommend wagering requirements this easy for a first deposit, I would definitely recommend more places take this attitude to thank their regular players. 3. eCogra and the internet gaming casinos who are certified by them or support the things that they represent. This is an organization that helps legitimize internet gaming casinos to the rest of the world. They are helping represent a player who never had much of a voice before. By promoting fair gaming, safe gaming and responsible gaming they have started to completely change the industry as a whole. As more players become aware of their choices even non-eCogra casinos are doing what they can to make sure their clients aren't becoming addicted and are promoting responsible gaming. This is a great thing. 4. Live Chat and good customer service. In this day and age with all of the technology that we have it's still the people which count at the end of the day. Knowing that you will have a real live human being to correspond with and get answers from is a great thing. Getting answers quickly and accurately make it even better. Live chat combines immediate response and the human touch. Toll free phone customer service is also a great thing for the internet gaming casinos which offer it to a number of different countries. 5. No spam policies in internet gaming casinos. Nothing is more annoying than signing up at one place and getting emails and such from other places. I know I never signed up to Kings casino, yet somehow these people have my email address and my HOME address. This guarantees I will never play there as I will not support any place that buys my information from somewhere else. Unfortunately I still don't know who sold them my information, or they would be banned as well. Privacy is a major concern for most internet gaming casinos, and for that I am very thankful. 6. Quick and reliable payouts. Knowing that you won't have to worry about your winnings showing up in your account is what it's all about at the end of the day. Even though you may be playing for your entertainment value, nothing makes the value of your entertainment higher than winning! Internet gaming casinos, poker rooms, and sports books which pay out their players in a timely fashion without a massive hassle (other than the typical documentation required for first withdrawal request) are places to be revered and frequented. 7. Well designed games. This is what the essence of all internet gaming casinos and poker rooms are about. Playing your favorite casino games online. The major internet gaming software manufacturers hire the best graphic games designers specifically so that the player will have the best, most realistic gaming experience outside of Las Vegas.
