I am down in the basement, looking around before I move my online gambling equipment (meaning my computer) down here for the winter, out of the way of the rain, hurricanes, snowstorms and other diversions thrown at me in an attempt to stop my gambling online. It’s pretty neat down here. This is the same basement where my father, and before him, his father, used to throw their weekly poker games. The place has a long history as a home-based casino. It wasn’t online gambling then, of course, and every Saturday night these characters would come walking along and slip into the basement via the outside door and the steps leading down. In grandfathers’ day the door was then locked from the inside because gambling was illegal and there were groups of cops wandering around the town looking for lawbreakers. I spent the last two days cleaning the place out and it really needed it – I found old bottles and cans dating back many years. I will be auctioning some of these items on e-Bay. I placed my computer carefully on the side table that I put in a few years ago and installed a wireless system so that anyone who comes in here with a laptop can connect to the web and gamble online with me. This is mainly directed at Tammy, my next door neighbor. I am determined to get her into a game of Texas Hold’em. I’m putting in a sound system so that I can have music to gamble to and a fridge for cold drinks. The final comfort item will be an air-conditioning system. As soon as that’s in, it’s onto Texas Hold’em and an exciting winter. I’ve been watching the poker action on the TV for the past few weeks and I am continually surprised at how the percentages swing as each card comes down. Of all the online casino games Texas Hold’em is quite the most exciting. I reckon if I can get Tammy down here into my luxury online casino just once to play she will never leave!
