“Online gambling is part of a yachtsman’s life,” says the captain standing next to the wheel in his white uniform with lots of gold braid on the shoulders and sleeves. “It’s easy on a yacht. I anted up and was dealt a Jack and 10. I waited for the calling to go around and watched the flop come down: 7, 9, K. Nothing for me. I bet again and waited for the turn. A 10. Another bet and then the river, another 10. My three 10’s took the hand and a small jackpot and I anted up for the next deal. A 6 and a 7. I folded and sat the hand out. The game went on in the online casino. I won another jackpot, larger this time. We ate, rested and gambled again until the island of Cyprus appeared over the horizon. We shut down the laptops and prepared to tie up the yacht. We sailed into the marina of Larnaca and walked into the town, stopping to eat and drink on the way. Back on board we set sail westwards towards Italy. We gambled non-stop, playing roulette and blackjack as well. I had a good time and ended the session winning about $700. Life at sea is great!
