In my opinion, one of two things is about to happen in the online gambling world. Entire cities including all roads and highways are about to become wireless friendly and support WiFi and Maxfi, or online gambling will be replaced by mobile gambling? If I cannot use my laptop in my car and connect to the internet, then I will simply make sure that my cellphone or blackberry is capable of performing all the same functions as the laptop and among these is that very important item of online gambling. Of course I will be having a long discussion with my telephone provider before I get too deep into the mobile gambling scene. I have this horrible mental picture of a game of poker. I have been dealt four great cards. I call for one exchange and pick up the missing card in a royal flush. I am sitting very quietly mentally purchasing that red Ferrrari I am always gazing at in the showroom window when the line goes dead. A veritable nightmare! So I will want some reassurances about cellphone reliability first. Apart from that, online gambling via the cell phone makes for good sense. It’s highly mobile, easy to play and hopefully even easier to win! I can picture myself going off to the office with my mobile in my pocket and a song in my heart and coming home at five driving a brand new car straight out of the box. Would that impress the wife and kids or what? Of course, I have a built in mechanism that prevents me from considering the alternatives to winning. But online gambling, despite all the ongoing attempts to drive it out of our society, is here to stay. Everyone is involved, one way or another. It doesn’t seem to matter that the US has banned it and the UK has legalized it, in the end, the people will decide what to do with it. In the meantime, until there’s a decision, I’m gambling online on highway No. 4! Posted on: September 2, 2007
