“Not so fast, Buster!” No going out with all this Swine Flu around. You’re staying home. Play your Texas Hold’em on the computer! I’m calling all the other wives.” We’re there every Sunday evening and sometimes in between Sunday evenings as well and its all thanks to my pretty wife and the Swine Flu. We arrange to all log into the Silver Spanner at 8 pm sharp on Sunday evenings, we pick a table and we play together. Ed is no longer our Sunday evening host and his wife is delighted. Each one provides his own refreshment and after a couple of hours play it’s possible to tell whether the guys have been drinking coke or something a little stronger. No more going out in the rain, no more coming home late and taking one’s shoes off in the garage and sneaking up the stairs. In many ways the online casino is a blessing and has solved many of our problems. Last night I had a great game with the boys. I folded in the first hand and Pete won with a full house kings high. In the second hand I was dealt a pair of 7s. Another 7 came down in the flop, the turn was an Ace but another 7 came down in the river and I am sitting there holding four 7s! Unfortunately the jackpot wasn’t that big, but I cleared a couple of hundred dollars. That’s the thing about online gambling, it’s hard to visualize the jackpot. I never visualized the jackpot in the fifth hand we played either. I anted up the usual bet; I was dealt an ace king of spades. I bet heavily and waited for the flop. Ace, king, 7. I went all in, betting down to my last dollar. The turn was an ace. I had full house in Aces and kings, virtually unbeatable. The river was a 7 but it no longer concerned me anyway. What did concern me was the jackpot – close to $4,000. What a great Sunday evening of online gambling! Posted on: August 18, 2009
