As usual I am the last to know what’s happening on my block. It has to be the best-kept secret in town – an online casino within a stone’s throw of where I live and I never knew a thing about it until lat night. I was on the way to bed at about 11 pm when I looked out of the window to make sure my garden lights were off and I noticed that the lights in my neighbor’s garage were on. Being a good neighbor I walked across to his place thinking I would tap on the front door and if he was awake, tell him about his lights. As I passed the garage I looked inside and saw a solid mob of people standing around. Assuming some sort of tragedy had occurred I walked in and received the shock of my life. I was standing in the middle of an online gambling casino. A desk computer with a giant screen stood on a table on against the back wall and a loud game of craps was in progress. The players were using coins and I watched some large bets being placed. On one side table there was a game of roulette on a very wide screen and on the other side a quiet game of Texas Hold’em poker was in progress. Only money was being used and there was a healthy pile on the green covered table where the players were facing the computer screen. I realized that I was in a serious online gambling casino. I saw my neighbor, Sid, a compulsive lawnmower borrower, standing watching the action and walked over to him. “Hi, Sid, All this yours?” “Yep. Nice set-up, huh?” He looked very satisfied and I guessed that he had organized the betting so that he was raking off a handsome profit. “I’d like to play sometime. What time does the action start?” I asked. “Just watch for the lights,” he said. “If the lights are on there’s action in my online casino. I have to say that it’s very convenient. Any time I feel like rolling a dice or spinning a roulette wheel, I wander across the street and in minutes I am in the thick of a game in a real live online casino.
