In the old days, about 10 years ago, airports were a breeze. You rolled up half an hour before your flight, walked up to the counter, checked your bags, met you friends and went for a drink and kept occupied until you boarded the plane. Those days are gone, thanks to all the terrorists running around trying to upset our lives. I make sure that my laptop comes with me wherever I go. More and more I find myself waiting and there is no better way to spend waiting time than in an online casino. Airport terminal are air-conditioned and many offer a free WiFi service. I like playing roulette in the airport. I always imagine that I can drop a single $50 on a number in the board, wait for the spin of the roulette wheel in the online casino and walk away with $1,750, more than the cost of my ticket to wherever I’m going. It has never happened like that but I’ve come close a couple of times. I did it once but I was playing with $10 chips, trying not to use my holiday spending money. Today I decided to try it again, hoping I was in one of the sympathetic online casinos. I dropped a $10 chip on my birthday, No 23. It came up and I collected my winnings of $350, letting 2 of the $10 chips ride on 23. I pocketed some of the winnings and dropped a couple of chips on the board at random. 23 came up, meaning I had won another $700 and meaning that I was up about a $1,000 in all. Feeling brave or stupid, I bet the whole lot on black and closed my eyes and stopped breathing while the wheel spun. I won! $2,000! Now feeling really stupid, I bet the while lot on black again. It came up and this time I was clever enough to understand that it was not going to happen again. I went and sat quietly in a corner of the waiting area away from everyone and feeling very pleased with myself. I had an extra $4,000 to spend on my holiday thanks to the online casino.
