In the early days, Max was a legend in the casinos of Las Vegas and Monte Carlo. He was the master of the baccarat rooms. Of all the table games played in casinos, Baccarat is the fastest and most exciting and Max played the game to the ultimate degree. He always dressed elegantly in a white tuxedo, used a long cigarette holder and spoke with a pseudo-European accent while he was in the red velvet casino rooms waiting for the action to begin. The years passed and Max made his fortune at the baccarat tables and went on to double and triple it playing the same game. At the age of about 70 Max grew tired of the strain of traveling and dressing up for the casinos and looked for an alternative to baccarat. Someone introduced him to online gambling and he discovered that he could continue playing his beloved baccarat wherever he was. He did this successfully for some years, becoming known as ‘the king of the online gamblers’. When he became ill he went to live in a retirement home and 2 years ago they transferred him to the “frail care” section. His laptop went him, of course and his visits to the online casinos continued as though nothing had changed. But something had changed. Whereas he had been playing alone or with one or two other partners for the past years, now he always had a large crowd standing around him and the games were sometimes from his bed and sometimes from a wheelchair. The crowd loved it and Max encouraged them. He took a small percentage of their bets for himself and betted heavily himself. There are only 3 possible bets in baccarat: Who will have a card total closest to nine - the banker, the player or will the two hands tie? As to playing baccarat in on-line casinos, all a player has to do is bet on one of two hands that are dealt to the player or the banker. The hand that totals closest to 9 is the winner. Farewell, Max and keep those big bets rolling! Posted on: July 3, 2008
