I’m squatting in the shade of a large English Oak, about 1,000 places back from the front and many thousands from the back of this line. My laptop is open, my air-phone is connected and I am logged into a great online casino. A huge groan of disappointment fills the air followed by one great yell of satisfaction. One person got it right. He wins €350 for his €10 bet. All the other single and other number bets lose theirs and the red and black, odds and evens, dozens and column bets come out more or less equal. I am left with a healthy profit. I got back my money for the tennis tickets in the first half hour this morning. Now I’m working on getting back the cost of 2 first class flight tickets to Heathrow and after that I will be working on the tickets and entertainment money for next year’s cruise to the Caribbean. I should have all this buttoned up by time we reach the gates. This is where online gambling really pays off.
