The recession bites deeper and deeper and many people are having a hard time making ends meet. The regular Saturday morning arts and crafts and home-made food fair at the fashion mall is looking grim as well as the number of visitors keeps dropping. I decided to try and help them and myself along and I took my laptop, plugged it in and set up a small, discreet online gambling stall. I had to call out to attract the first few people to my stall, but after they were standing there, others joined and soon I had quite big knot of people around me. I played the games on the laptop, but carried the betting myself, starting with very low bets so that I could finance it myself. The pile of money in front of me soon built up nicely. Everyone enjoyed the slots but soon I heard calls asking me to change to something a little more serious and I switched to roulette. Online gambling was never like this. The crowd got into this with great excitement. I quivered in my boots whenever someone played single numbers because a win would cost me a lot of money even though the maximum bet I allowed was one dollar. I looked up at some point and saw a man standing at my stall holding a laptop. I asked him if I could borrow it and in no time I had 2 laptops logged into the online casino, one offering roulette and the other blackjack. Things were rolling along nicely and I could only assume that I was making money if the normal house rules of a casino were in operation. I vowed to come along the next week with about 5 laptops and a few young assistants to help me. I saw that many of those standing around were older people and thought it might be good idea to offer Bingo as well. When I added up the money at home I found that I had made money, not a lot but a reasonable amount for a morning’s work. The next Saturday my online gambling stall had 2 laptops with Bingo and 4 others, one blackjack, one roulette, one slots and one wild game of craps going on. Let’s see how many weeks I can go before it is all closed down by the mall managers. Posted on: June 22, 2009
