It’s so easy. I sit down in front of my computer, call up my time program, make a few calculations, consult my perpetual calendar, enter next week’s date and take a quick trip, just long enough to write down next week’s Lotto numbers. I’m back in the present in a flash. Next morning I can watch my winnings rolling into my bank account. This was an easy two month project. The next one looks more difficult: How to incorporate online gambling with the time machine? There must be a way to make some big bucks and have some fun at the same time. The project is not as easy as I thought. The online gambling activity most suited to playing back from the future is Lotto and I’m already doing that. I’m making all the money I need and I have to be careful not to win every week. But something interesting has come up from my fiddling with the program. I managed to reduce the load on the battery, which means I can now get back much further into the past. All the way back to Adam and Eve, I think. I have to try it right away. I type in the year ‘0’ to the time destination and sit back. But there’s another bug in the program. This trip takes forever and once time starts winding back I can’t get off. So I sit. This is where I could use a laptop and get into an online casino. There’s nothing like a spot of online gambling to help time fly, no matter which direction it’s going. I make it to the Garden of Eden, take a quick look around, examine the apple tree and head for home. I am more than nervous about being stranded out here, especially without my laptop and the ability to communicate or do some online gambling. I can’t very well start fooling around with Eve, can I? Back home safe and sound, I am busy connecting an extra feature to the time machine computer that will allow me to get into an online casino no matter what century I’m in. Posted on: June 15, 2007
