This brightly lit town on the Red Sea resembles a miniature Las Vegas with its strip of restaurants and fast food eateries. The neon lights blaze away and put a red wash in the sky over the town. Holiday makers roam the streets in search of fun and excitement and kiosk owners badger everyone with the latest in tee shirts and cut-off pants. But there is no casino in this town. Public gambling is not allowed and private gambling may mean breaking the law. Even logging into an online casino has its risks, minor as they may be. But after 2 days of fruitless searching for a brick and mortar casino I’ve had it. I go back to my hotel and take my laptop down to the pool. There is a sign in the lobby that says that the area is WiFi and I figure that some of the waves may spill out towards the pool. Good thinking, I laugh as I get an almost immediate response to my internet sign in. I ignore the rows of nearly naked holidaymakers lying out there in the baking Middle Eastern sun and concentrate on the computer screen. A minute later I log in at the Silver Spanner and select blackjack as my first game in this exotic online casino. I play with a hundred dollar chip and start with an ace and a queen on the first hand, giving me a blackjack and money to bet with. A voice compliments me on my win and I look up see a gorgeous blonde in a microscopic white bikini leaning over the computer so she can watch the action. I look back at her. She is gorgeous all over. I click for another game in the online casino and place my hundred dollar chip on the table. Out of the corner of my eye I see that a yellow bikini has joined the spectators and that more bikinis are headed my way. I keep on playing and I keep on winning. I feel the bikinis drawing closer and closer until it’s difficult to even click the mouse. What should I do, I wonder. Keep gambling? Posted on: June 5, 2007
