Everyone is in a great mood. People who normally scowl at me the whole year rush over with a big smile to shake my hand. “How are you, mate? Where’ve you been the whole year?” Everyone is excited to see everyone else. This is a sort of neighbors’ day, the day we don’t think about ourselves but about the others that live on our block. We stand around and chat and catch up on all the news; we hear about a few divorces, an accident, a couple of marriages and other gossip. We eat and drink and I’m itching to open my laptop and show these guys what online gambling is all about.

Often when I shut down the computer after a long night of online gambling I look out the window and see a light on in a house and I wonder if any of the neighbors may also be gambling online. When I do get my laptop going a few of the men stroll over. Two of them are very interested and ask me which online casino I play in. I tell them the Golden Goose and they ask if I play Texas Hold’em in the interactive section. I say, “Sure I do! I’m in there almost every night, after my wife goes to sleep, that is.” They ask for my table name, the name I use when I’m gambling online. I say it’s ‘Freddie Friday’ and they burst out laughing.

One grabs my hand and shakes it saying, “Hi, Freddie Friday, I am Happy Dancer and this is Sterling Silver!” I almost faint with surprise. I often gamble online against these two guys. We battle it out head-to-head winning and losing huge piles of chips, and considerable amounts of money, to each other. Well I never, and all the time I thought I was gambling against people from some far away exotic country across the sea!
