Guess what? I’m staying in the Casino de Monte Carlo. I saw this ad at the airport and called up and booked. I chose the 12,000 € Package, which is 3 dream nights at the Sun Casino. Oh man, you just have to do this sometime! Not only do I have my 3 main options, I find there are other options as well: look at the women, eat and eat and eat the tasty French cooking, go inside the Casino de Monte Carlo and look at the women there, go inside the casino and gamble? Nah, I’m strictly an online gambling man. So I choose the best of the options. I sit high up in the stands. From here I can watch the tennis, look at the view which consists mainly of the boats of the rich and famous and still keep an eye on the women while I gamble online on my laptop. Looks as though I’m going to be busy, right? I would love to play baccarat while I’m in Monte Carlo, but I suspect that the game is too fast for my distracted mind, so I settle for Roulette which I can play at my own pace. This little impetuous trip is costing plenty so I play carefully and with limited chips to start with. I would like to recoup the odd $20,000 that I am in for already. I start with two $20 chips, one on my birthday, 23 and the other on my wife’s, 15. Hers comes up. I let the winnings of $700 ride and drop another chip on 23 for luck. Online gambling is a strange business; you have absolutely no idea of what’s going to happen. Well, it happened. 15 came up again. The $700 winnings suddenly turned into $24,000! I feel better already. My trip is paid for and I decide to relax on the gambling and pay attention to the view and the tennis. I watch Roger Federer beat the daylights out of some poor guy who was unlucky enough to be drawn against him. Federer is the most amiable looking killer in the tennis business. I wonder what he’s like inside the Casino de Monte Carlo? Posted on: May 24, 2008
