The online casino is becoming my refuge whenever things start spinning out of control. Take the stock market. What used to be entertaining and fun - watching one’s shares going up - is now punishment. Sitting in front of the computer and watching one’s savings on a one-way downward slide is no fun. So to ease the pain and get one’s mind onto more pleasurable things, it’s easy to wander into the online casino and do something positive. And at the end of the day it’s likely to be much more profitable. The same goes for the cold weather. Why go outside into the snow and slush when one can spread oneself out on the thick mat in front of the roaring fire and play uninterrupted roulette? The temptation to take the easy route is always there, but the exciting action in most of today’s online casinos makes the alternatives non-starters. Take today, for instance. We are experiencing a nuclear summer with record breaking temperatures in the first week of spring. You almost cannot breathe the hot air in without scorching your nose. But inside, the air-conditioner is whirring away and it’s fresh and cool. You want I should go outside when I can make a gallon of iced tea and sit in a cold stream of air under the fan while I play the slots in the online casino?
