Next week is our turn to host the Gourmet Club, our group of friends who eat together once every two months - each time at someone else’s house. The menu has been prepared and everyone has been sent a recipe for the dish that he or she has to prepare. The theme for the meeting will be Indian, which means that there will be lots of curry dishes. The evenings start at about six and end at midnight when the wine and conversation runs out. I thought of adding a little excitement to this upcoming meeting – an online casino where the guests can use one of my computers and have a flutter at the tables. My wife said she was not so sure about the idea, but I convinced her that it was harmless and that the guests would enjoy it.

Needless to say, they loved it. I would say that an online casino and lots of online gambling will now be a regular feature at our dinners. Sid hit a major jackpot playing on the slot machines and Joe put fifty dollars on his birthday number on the roulette wheel and promptly won one thousand seven hundred and fifty dollars. Janet played blackjack and won a couple of hundred and Ruth tried her hand at Baccarat and won lots of money. All the winnings are, of course, in my account in the online casino. I will now have to withdraw all the winnings and dish the money out to the winners. I collected the losses on the spot but there wasn’t enough to pay out the winners.

I must say that when I normally play on one of the online casinos I have something to drink on the table next to me, a beer or whiskey, tea or coffee. This was the first time I have been in an online casino where food is being served and it really hit the spot. It was hard to tell if the food enhanced the excitement of the online gambling or whether the gambling enhanced the spicy flavor of the food. Whichever, the online casino is there to stay at the gourmet club!
