By the time I got the two rusty metal monsters up the driveway and into the garage I was exhausted. Slot machines may look light and innocent - they are anything but. Then I found it quite impossible to connect them up. Smoke poured out of the first one when I pushed the electrical cable into the wall socket. The second one refused to do anything – I guess it had been out of action too long. In frustration I gave it a hard kick which seemed to smash something inside. A few dozen coins rolled out. My friend Pete, the handyman, who turned out to be useless at reconnecting old slot machines advised me to go back to playing in the online casinos.

And he’s right. What a pleasure it is to fire up the computer, log into my favorite online casino and sit with a glass of whisky at my elbow, feeding the slot machines. Of course I mentally used the coins I had saved from the old machine and they paid off handsomely. I don’t have to tell you that a progressive jackpot is known as a “life changing” jackpot, because that’s what it does. It’s like winning the Lotto or the national lottery except that you win a lot more.

I called in a real estate agent this morning and instructed him to sell this house and find me a new one more fitting to my new status. And it must have a separate room, well away from the other bedrooms, which I can use as my online casino. I don’t want to wake my wife or children when I am yelling and screaming in excitement in the middle of the night. I am also going to move the 2 old slot machines into the new online in-house casino. After all, they may not have been working last night when I won, but they were present and I have little doubt that they brought the luck factor into my win.
