I hate the business of cleaning. The grandchildren usually call in over the weekends to check on us and leave finger prints on the glass and crumbs on the floor and furniture. It all has to be cleaned. I decide that I can do a mix, clean and gamble online together. I start with the living room, site of the most-needed cleaning. I place the laptop on the coffee table, log into the online casino and decide to play blackjack. I place my bet and dust the table. I look at my cards, see a total of 12 and call for the dealer to hit me. I get a 6 and signal that I stand. I vacuum crumbs out from under the table. I stop to rest and watch the dealer go bust. I collect my winnings and clean the hand-prints off the glass coffee table. I continue betting on the blackjack game and cleaning everything that needs it. In no time at all I’m almost $300 up. In the study I switch on the desktop computer and log in. I call up roulette and pace a few chips. I dust the desk top, collect my winnings, place another bet and wipe the window sill while watching little ivory ball drop into my number. I collect my winnings and smile. This online cleaning is more fun than I expected. The next cleaning area is the dining room and here I use the laptop again. I click into the slot machines. This is interrupted by heavy vacuuming of the thick carpet and my mind is more on the cleaning than the slots. Now for the bathrooms. The cleaning process starts by logging into an online casino and selecting ‘Bingo’. I spray the mirrors with the cleaning fluid, purchase a couple of Bingo cards and set the play to automatic. I clean the glass and tiles energetically with one eye watching the Bingo game. Slowly my credits accumulate and I continue until the bathroom is sparkling. So the cleaning lady is permanently out of a job. I had most profitable morning cleaning! Posted on: March 3, 2009
