I love the end of the month, not because it means I'll be getting paid soon (although it does) but because it means Microgaming has introduced new games! Microgaming is my favorite internet casino software company by far. They really focus on their gaming software and always put out exceptional games. Every month Microgaming introduces four new games for their players to enjoy. I'll never understand why they always introduce the game at the end of the month and write about it as if it's for the entire month, however not everything is out there for us to understand. It's enough that they have fabulous games specially designed for maximum entertainment value. This month Microgaming mixed it up a bit and did three slots games and a video poker. The slots are one basic slot with a single pay line and two video slots. Typically they do two slots and two card games. I always thought this was their standard as video slots take a lot of creative time to create (doing the theme and graphics isn't so easy). Lucky for us their team must have had some extra time on their hands. If Cheech and Chong were to make a video slots game with a western theme Moonshine would be it. Hill Billy's reign supreme in this 5 reel, 25 payline video slot. Players will enjoy a great mix of wild, scatter and bonus trigger symbols and free spin feature. The graphics are filled with hilarious characters. Grandma toting a shotgun waits in her rocking chair for the red headed sheriff to come around. When he finally makes it she strips him to his skivvies and ties him up. Joining her are two of the nastiest varmints you ever did see. Two good ol' boys with missing teeth and a big jug of something the still made. The moonshine jar is the best symbol on the slot, not just because it gives you free spins but because it inspires thirst. I liked the humor in this slot, but when I played it was wound a tad tight. It took over one hundred spins for me to finally get to the bonus round. I have a great mouse with a fast clicker so I did will on the “pick until pop” selection screen. Players can get up to eighteen profit-makers with multipliers up to 4X. The jackpot available is $40,000.00 but that can go up to $160,000.00 if free spins are involved. While Moonshine is a little bit country Isis is elegant and exotic. Isis takes you to the middle east, destination Egypt, with mysterious amulets, magic eyes, knoptic vases, and the goddess Isis supported by high flying hawks. Isis is a 5 reel, 25 payline slot with wild and scatter rewards, free spins and a gamble opportunity that enables the player to double or quadruple winnings by betting on color and suit. I won almost immediately. Isis is the wild symbol which activates the double winning combinations and 3 or more hawks is the scatter, initiating anything up to 30 free spins in which wins can be multiplied by 6X and further free spins awarded. Within seconds of starting my auto play I had free spins which brought me over 1500 coins. I lost it all on the gamble game unfortunately. However, assuming you are luckier than me you can double or quadruple your win by choosing to gamble after your spin. The jackpot starts at $25,000.00 and can rise to $150,000.00 with all of the extra features in this game. I don't know whether it was just the casino I was playing in, or it was a problem with Microgaming's programming, but when I tried to get to the next two games I kept getting the wrong ones! I clicked on Free Spirit slots and got video poker, and the new video poker for this month got me a blackjack game. Apparently the links in the "New Games" section haven't been tested and fixed yet. I hope I can find another way to get to these games. Score! I went out to the home page, clicked on slots and went to the new games from there, where I finally got to Free Spirit. This game reminds me of when I was in university and a friend of mine and I drove through Navajo country in northern Arizona. It was summer and there were wild horses galloping through the canyons. Free Spirit is a simple 3 reel, 1 pay line slot game with a maximum bet of $2. While $2 may not sound like a lot it can get you a $5,000.00 jackpot. Getting the Spin symbol on the third reel activates the wheel of wealth which spins to bring you extra winnings. I got the wheel and well, I can't say it overloaded me with wealth. I had a problem with this game before I even started to play. I accidentally hit analyze before I started playing and the whole thing crashed. After getting the casino started up again I went in and did pretty well from the get go. This is a game that pays out generously when you win.
