Of course I thought that our travel agent had been exaggerating. How can the lines be so long that there is time to read a book? In fact she had understated the case. We spoke to people who had been standing there for 3 hours and more. It didn’t worry me. I opened my laptop, connected up to the airport WiFi system and logged into the online casino. The shooter throws the dice and the crowd yells and even through the puny speakers of the laptop one can hear the noise of the dice rolling across the table, the dealer giving instructions and the crowd yelling. They lift me off my feet and carry me and my laptop to the door. “Show us!” they bark and I place a bet and show them. Have you ever heard of a craps player shooting two double sixes in a row?
